JAVA BEANS
=========================================
Click here for details on Java Beans
JavaBeans1.0 is Java's component architecture, designed by JavaSoft
in cooperation with many industry partners. JavaBeans extends Java's "write once-run everywhere" message to reusable components, and JavaBeans components can interact with components in other platforms, including ActiveX, OpenDoc, and LiveConnect through bridges. I will provide a quick overview of JavaBeans, of the Beans Development Kit (BDK) and of JavaSoft's ActiveX bridge.
===================== Biography: =====================Eduardo received his BS & MSc. from USB, in Venezuela, and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley. He has been at Sun since 1990 working first in DevPro, then in the Spring group, and, most recently in JavaSoft. While at JavaSoft, Eduardo contributed to JavaIDL, lead the JavaRMI alpha1 team, and has been working on JavaBeans since its inception. Eduardo's current focus is the BDK, the Beans Development Kit.
